Residents Permits

For would be residents in the Murcia region this involves a couple of trips to the office in Murcia City where the staff do not speak English. & will not deal with you without a translator.

Bank Accounts

Most Spanish banks in larger towns employ someone who speaks some English to set up accounts. If you have more complicated overseas transactions it is advisable to use a translator.

Some Spanish escrituras (property deeds) can be very complicated & for a variety of reasons you may have a need to clarify some clauses with the local town hall, but maybe not wish to have the expense of a Spanish lawyer.

Notaries / Legal

Notaries are legal representatives who officialy notarize a variety of things like escrituras, testaments & wills etc. For many of these things it is not necessary to employ a lawyer.

Building Licences

When making any alterations to your property or land it is essential to have the correct building licence in place before starting. This is obtained in your local town hall where there are forms to complete & a variety of questions asked.

Medical Issues

Some hospitals & clinics insist on having a Spanish speaker around when advising on or giving treatment. This is an important time to make sure that both patients and medical staff know exactly what symptoms and treatments are being discussed.
